What's Involved in an Assessment?
Typically, diagnostic assessments are completed over several sessions. To be clear, therapy is not provided by Dr. Bathori. Her expertise and focus is exclusively on testing and development assessments of children 6 months to five years old.
Session 1: In Person or Phone Meeting
The first session is to be completed without the child and can be done either in person at Dr. Bathori’s office in Palo Alto, or over the phone if this is more convenient for the parents’ schedule. In addition to getting a clear understanding of the issue, we will go over developmental, family, and medical history.

Before Session 1 takes place, we ask that you use our intake form to send Dr. Bathori some preliminary information about your child. The link to the form is at the very bottom of this page.
Sessions 2 - 4: Testing
Then, depending on the amount of testing needed and the child’s ability, testing will take place in 1-3 sessions. The total cost and timeline of the assessment will be presented to the parents after the first intake session.
Session 5: Results
The final session is feedback with parents only.

Fees
In your first session, your child's specific situation and associated assessment costs will be discussed with Dr. Bathori. A full Developmental Assessment will range between $3000 - $4000 depending on the amount of testing required.
At the completion of testing, parents will receive a detailed, written report with recommendations. Parents may choose to use the report to help with services and any necessary treatment.
Dr. Bathori's Hourly Consultation fees are $200 per hour. This covers: child observation, review of past testing, review of IEP documentation and general guidance. Dr. Bathori is not on any insurance panels and is an independent Clinical Psychologist. A detailed invoice will be provided for your records.
